Ocular Surface Disease Seminars

The CORONIS FOUNDATION, in collaboration with the University Abulcasis des Sciences de la Santé (https://www.uiass.ma/), sponsored monthly educational seminars on ocular surface disease for ophthalmologists.

These seminars were conducted in English and featured renowned speakers. Participation in these sessions was open to all and could be accessed via Zoom, making it accessible to a global audience. The seminars were entirely free of charge.

We would like to extend our gratitude to all speakers as well as to Prof. Mohammed Belmekki for organizing these hybrid seminars at Université Internationale Abulcasis in Rabat, Morocco.

Research on Corneal Nerves

The clear part of the ocular surface, the cornea, is the window of the eye and the first optical element involved in the quality of vision and visual health. In recent years the essential role of corneal nerves in ocular surface disease has become the focus of intensive research. CORONIS FOUNDATION has supported this research at the Institute of Neurosciences of the University Miguel Hernández in Alicante, Spain.
